About Me:
I am a community leader who has helped marginalized neighborhoods in San José for over
10 years. I advocate for social change, justice, and youth empowerment through education,
entrepreneurship, and mentoring. My experience includes technology and finance, as I
worked for McAfee in Global Operations and for Intuit in the Corporate Finance and Financial
Operations unit. I am a board member of My Own Business Institute (MOBI) and have been teaching students
about income inequality and social justice through service-learning in the Neighborhood
Prosperity Initiative (NPI) at Santa Clara University for 10 years.
In addition, I founded Latina Emprendedora, a women’s small business conference held
yearly for the last 8 years where hundreds of women gather yearly to learn about starting and
growing a business. I have been part of Silicon Valley SBDC as a small business advisor, helping the Hispanic
business community, thus contributing to the integration of new entrepreneurs into the
business world. In 2023, I joined Sacramento Valley SBDC helping more Latinos formalize
their small businesses, and I am now very excited to join SBDC Sonoma.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my two children and wife.
