As part of the sign up process, you’ll sign a Confidentiality Agreement and Terms of Service, which provides you with assurance.

Terms of Service:

During the sign up process, you’ll also acknowledge our Terms of Service (TOS) which outlines that SBDC is here to support Economic Impact in the communities we serve. The TOS includes your agreement to participate in twice yearly Economic Impact surveys, which take less than 5 minutes to fill out. We’re able to request surveys for up to 2 years from the last counseling session, you have.

Economic Impact Categories:

  1. Business starts / # of Businesses that started
  2. Increase in Sales
  3. Employees (FT / PT)
  4. Access to Capital (Loans / Equity)

The data from these surveys are provided as data only roll-up reports to show the cumulative efforts to our funders, and lack any personal identifying information.

For NEW CLIENTS:
Step 1: Decide you are ready and fill out the information requested above

Step 2: Schedule your intake appointment with Centralized Intake

Step 3: You’ll be advised if advising, training, or a referral to a partner organization (SCORE) will be best for you, depending in your goals, needs, and where you are in the lifecycle stage of your business. If you’re ready for advising, you’ll receive an acceptance email from Centralized Intake letting you know what comes next.

Step 4: The center will assign you to an advisor and it’s up to you to decide your successful next step in the journey. A best practice is to keep a regular meeting schedule, with your advisor – every other week, month, or more. We’re flexible with your schedule and know that no two entrepreneurs approach success the same way.

SUCCESS TIPS:
Like all things, what you put into advising and training, will equal what you get out of advising and training.
